Kelly Roberts

Kelly Roberts is a Senior Principal and Regional Director of Walter P Moore’s Atlanta office. She leads multidisciplinary teams across the Southeast, helping clients deliver high-performance buildings that balance structural efficiency, sustainability, and long-term value. Known for her collaborative leadership style, Kelly works closely with owners, architects, and project teams to align project goals with practical, buildable solutions.

Kelly specializes in sustainable structural engineering, with expertise in whole building life cycle assessment, embodied carbon reduction, and the integration of sustainable and salvaged materials into building design. As leader of Walter P Moore’s Sustainable Design Community of Practice for structures, she helps advance strategies that improve building performance while reducing environmental impacts.

Her project experience spans healthcare facilities, educational campuses, high-rise mixed-use developments, corporate environments, and civic projects. Drawing on both structural engineering and sustainability leadership, Kelly helps clients navigate the intersection of performance, resilience, carbon reduction, and project economics.

Beyond project delivery, Kelly is a nationally recognized advocate for sustainable structural design and has helped shape industry initiatives focused on embodied carbon, material reuse, and structural sustainability. Through leadership roles across multiple professional organizations, she actively contributes to advancing the profession and accelerating the adoption of lower-carbon building practices.
