- Performing structural computations in the design and analysis of concrete, steel or other miscellaneous structures
- Creating analysis models and interpreting results for 2D and 3D structural frames

- Understanding load paths for gravity and lateral loads and calculating applicable loads based on appropriate building codes

Country-Specific IT Manager

Junior Modeler - Construction Modeling

A Junior Modeler has the responsibility for applying intensive and diversified knowledge of detailing principles and practices in broad areas. A Junior Modeler bears primary responsibility for properly executing the accuracy and constructability of the project model(s). They will assist to set direction, outline goals, and execute the project plan. The Junior Modeler’s roles include complex modeling, planning, organization direction and quality control of projects, being a team leader through technical supervision and staff development.
- Build concept models and connections to ensure alignment with the design team.

Electrical Intern – MEP

Mechanical Intern – MEP

Graduate Engineer - Civil

Engineering Intern - Water Resources

We seek well-prepared students from top engineering schools who are interested in expanding their education in civil and water resources engineering through the internship program offered at Walter P Moore. As an engineering intern in our water resources engineering group, you will participate with our project teams on a variety of public water and drainage-related projects, including commercial development assessment and design, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, FEMA studies, roadway drainage design, flood warning system development, and public infrastructure projects. You will also be eligible to participate in our in-house staff development program.
Senior Structural Technical Modeler

The Senior Technical Modeler is a top-level senior drafter/technician (non-supervisory level), and is responsible for preparation of construction documents for BIM drawings and details on a variety of projects that range vastly in scale, detail, and complexity. A Senior Technical Modeler should be able to rapidly develop structural building information models (BIMs), annotate plans and details, create three- dimensional renderings, rationalize geometry for appropriate structural schemes, and assist with creating structural narratives. Works closely with design originator, project managers and team of engineers and modelers; may recommend minor design changes requiring sound judgment and discretion. May guide or be assisted by lower-level technicians Performs non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions and under minimal supervision.
- Coordinates all BIM activities with project manager, designers, and engineers
- Interacts with clients and team members regarding project models
- Uses latest tools/digital workflows to efficiently create and maintain BIM information and to interoperate with analysis, documentation, fabrication, and construction models
- Assists in the development of structural detailing in documentation models
- Works with Project Manager to establish deadlines to stop internal work prior to plotting deadline to ensure time is left to check quality and accuracy of deliverables
- Assists in preparing and annotating structural details
- Uses tools in support of project-specific digital implementation
- Periodically checks model content for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to graphic and modeling standards
- Properly organizes structural and reference models
- Archives various deliverables, models, and databases at key milestones
- Updates and maintains related project documentation (OneNote, BIM execution plans, sheet lists, etc.)
- Knows the various types of structural elements and materials used in the BIMs and deliverables
- Works towards understanding key structural systems, their components, and typical layout/geometry/dimensions associated with them
- Works with senior engineers to learn detailing conventions for commonly encountered conditions (cladding support, etc.) and project-specific details (parking ramps, arena vomitories/seating units, medical equipment support)
