We are seeking to hire a qualified Technical Designer with experience in model-based erection procedure deliverables for various structural systems, as well as fabrication-level (LOD400) detailing for structural steel, reinforced concrete, and light gauge steel structural systems. The role of Technical Designer in the Construction Engineering practice area is to develop Building Information Models (BIM), engineering elements, and structural systems specifically during construction phase portions of projects.  Position requires impeccable written and spoken communication skills with frequent interactions with architects, contractors, and owners. Other responsibilities include:

• Uses latest tools/digital workflows to efficiently create and maintain BIM information and to interoperate with analysis, documentation, fabrication, and construction models
• Performs clash detection against reference models and works with internal team to track and resolve clashes and conflicts
• Works with project team (architects, contractors, engineers, designers, and modelers) to plan and document project-specific digital implementation, including analysis, design, documentation, fabrication, and construction models
• Audits models after key milestones, and periodically checks model content for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to graphic and modeling standards
• Understands key building systems, their components, and typical layout/geometry/dimensions
• Learns detailing conventions for commonly encountered conditions and project-specific details
• Works towards understanding of constructability issues, especially with atypical conditions
• Maintain budgetary objectives of project
• Perform other functions as needed.

Walter P Moore seeks a well prepared graduate from one of the top engineering schools to join our firm’s Construction Engineering Services team, a specialized team within the Structures Group.  In this role, the graduate engineer in the Construction Engineering Services team will work on projects for contractors, steel fabricators and erectors, and the like.  Primary roles supporting their Project Manager will include: analyzing and validating structures at different stages of construction, developing construction sequencing for complex structures, analysis and design of temporary structures to support construction, and steel connection design.  Candidates must have strong computer analysis skills and coursework covering a broad array of topics in steel design.

Walter P Moore has an immediate opening for a Structural Modeler to join our dynamic Structural Engineering group in our Mexico City office.  The qualified candidate will have at least 1-3 years of relevant experience working in the latest version of Revit design software in the role of Drafter or Technical Modeler. This individual will be responsible for preparation of construction documents for structural drawings and details on a variety of large commercial projects, primarily in the US. In this position, the individual will be required to work closely with a team of Structural Engineers and other Drafters and Modelers. We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior GIS Specialist for our Infrastructure Group in our Pune/ Bengaluru office. He/ She will perform work involving the application of all conventional aspects of the subject matter of the functional area of the assignment. The candidate should be capable of exercising judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. The candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing the initial approach for complex GIS projects and will be given overall responsibility for the GIS analysis of projects. The primary duties include planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating GIS work involving conventional practices.
