Ryan Anderson

A key leader and Managing Director of our San Diego office, Ryan has worked on some of the area’s largest sports and entertainment projects. He was a key player in notable projects such as the UC San Diego Theatre District Living & Learning Neighborhood, Gaylord Chula Vista Hotel & Resort, SoFi Stadium at Hollywood Park, YouTube Theater, the Confidential Aviation Terminal in Southern California, Intuit Dome, and Acrisure Arena. Ryan specializes in the design of steel and concrete structures for a wide range of market sectors and building types including higher education, science and technology, sports, aviation, entertainment, hospitality, commercial, and seismic retrofit—among others.

Merging his broader interest in the construction industry with his vast experience in design-build projects, and construction site experience, Ryan has perfected his ability to envision the best outcomes for all stakeholders on a project rather than look only through the eyes of the structural engineer. As a DBIA Certified Professional, Ryan champions design-build efforts and utilizes his interactions with contractors and the construction engineering services team to develop the most efficient structural designs.
