Jonathan oversees the design of complex structural systems while successfully delivering major projects across various sectors such as sports, convention centers, entertainment and education. With extensive experience and subject matter expertise in theses Practice Areas, he has led the design of stadiums, arenas, ballparks, convention centers and collegiate practice facilities nationwide.

Experience

Jonathan has 10 years of experience with long-span, arena roof design, having led the structural analysis and design of the roof structures for Intuit Dome, Acrisure Arena, Fiserv Forum and the Dollar Loan Center. He is experienced in the design of tensile membrane structures having worked on the cable-net design for Nissan Stadium, the Jacksonville Jaguars Stadium of the Future, and the PTFE canopy for the Turn 1 project at Churchill Downs.  He specializes in arena rigging grid design and evaluation, having assisted owners at the Toyota Center, Gila River Arena, Reed Arena at Texas A&M, the Holmes Convocation Center at Appalachian State University, and the Knoxville Civic Coliseum with rigging evaluations and by increasing rigging load capacity. Jonathan leverages his expertise in programming to develop digital workflows that provide highly accurate structural models for projects with complex geometry. His background in architectural engineering enables him to conceive elegant and design-focused structural solutions.
